Position: Junior Accountant

Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month

Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 6 months to 2 years of experience in a CA Firm to join our team at Maharshi Gantara & Associates. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliance, along with practical exposure to accounting software and day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain books of accounts.
• Assist in finalization of accounts under the guidance of senior staff.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
• Manage Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
• Support in audit work, documentation, and compliance activities.
• Maintain ledgers, journal entries, and vouchers.
• Assist clients in accounting and financial queries as required.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months to 2 years of experience in a CA firm is mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other accounting tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
