Junior Accountant

Position: junior Accountant
Location: Qatar
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports to: Finance Manager / General Manager
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• 1-2 years experience in accounting (preferably in Qatar).
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Odoo Mandatory)

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s daily financial activities in accordance with Qatar accounting standards,and company policies. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, efficient payroll processing, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and review daily financial transactions (payments, receipts, invoices, journal entries).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll, leaves, end-of-service benefits, and deductions as per Qatar Labour Law.
• Prepare VAT returns (if applicable) and ensure compliance with Qatar Tax Authority.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Monitor daily expenses and prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for all financial records.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience in accounting (preferably in Qatar).
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Odoo Mandatory).
• Excellent MS Excel and financial data interpretation skills.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English (mandatory)

Preferred Experience:

• Background in automotive, trading, or service sectors.
• Knowledge of WPS payroll and Qatar pension procedures.
