Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with UAE accounting standards and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with VAT filings, tax returns, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data aligns with operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE or the Middle East region.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g, Zoho, Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial functions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
