Junior Accountant

Heidenreich Hospitality Group LLC has an immediate opening for a team-oriented individual to fill our newly created Junior Accountant position. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively with shared responsibility for one or more major functions within the Finance Department. Experience in accounting involving analysis, financial transaction recordings, and a clear understanding of accounting policies and procedures. This position reports to the Finance Director.
Job Description:
  • Daily reconciliations of the activity for the hotel and restaurants to ensure all revenue and tax collections are completed accurately.
  • Review accounts payable invoices for coding, approvals, and accuracy.
  • Revenue imports and journal entries for gift card revenue, advance deposits, and adjusting entries for undeposited funds.
  • Assist the Finance Director with month end-reconciliations and closing tasks.
  • Assist in processing the bi-weekly payroll using payroll system.
  • Monthly tracking and rent collection of employee rent payments/leases.
  • Assist in supporting outside departments with invoice and check requests and investigating invoice discrepancies.
  • Daily cash management of all checking accounts.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 4 years relative experience. In lieu of an associate’s degree, some college and/or 10 years’ experience in the accounting field.
  • Experience with the following platforms preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Sage Intacct, Webrezpro, Toast, Square, Tripleseat, Teams, and Microsoft Office Products a must. Strong skills in excel a plus.
