Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the accounting and finance functions of our manufacturing operations. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting activities with a focus on inventory, production costs, and manufacturing-related financial reporting as well as to support the entire finance operations including A/R, Credit, Payables, Payroll and HR. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to build hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Support inventory accounting, including tracking inventory movements, reconciling inventory balances, and assisting with monthly work in process reporting
• Assist with cost accounting activities such as material, labor, and overhead tracking
• Help prepare and reconcile journal entries related to production and manufacturing expenses
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and selected balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Support preparation of financial reports related to manufacturing operations
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with other accounting or finance projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, basic formulas)
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience, internship, or relevant coursework
• Exposure to manufacturing or cost accounting concepts
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
• Familiarity with inventory control, bill of materials (BOMs), or production reporting
