Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant / Trainee — US Bookkeeping

BI Consultancy Services | Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi

About BI Consultancy Services

BI Consultancy Services is a bookkeeping firm serving clients across the United States. Our clients are from different industries including e-commerce, Real Estate, Medical, Engineering, IT etc., We handle their monthly books, reconciliations, financial reporting, and year-end preparation on QuickBooks Online and Xero.

We've built our firm around detailed client documentation systems that capture exactly how each client's books should be handled, and a structured quality assurance process that reviews work before it goes to the client. This is why our clients stay with us for years.

We're hiring junior accountants who want to build a serious career in US accounting. This is not a generic data entry role. It's the entry point to a defined progression path through our firm.

The Role

You will start in a structured 3-month training phase where you learn US accounting practices, QuickBooks Online or Xero (depending on your assigned client), and the specific bookkeeping needs of US Businesses. Training is hands-on, supervised by senior accountants, and uses real client data.

After the training phase, you'll begin owning bookkeeping work for assigned clients under continued supervision. Your responsibilities will grow as you demonstrate capability — categorization of transactions, monthly reconciliations, sales and refund tracking, expense classification, financial statement preparation, and eventually direct communication with clients on routine matters.

Our seniors include QuickBooks Elite ProAdvisors and Xero-certified specialists with years of US client experience.

What you'll actually do day-to-day

  • Categorize and reconcile transactions on US client books in QuickBooks Online or Xero
  • Match deposits, refunds, and platform settlements (Amazon, Stripe, Shopify) to bank activity
  • Identify discrepancies and flag them for senior review
  • Prepare monthly reports per documented client procedures
  • Update internal client documentation when processes change
  • Participate in QA cycles (your work is reviewed; you also review others as you progress)
  • Communicate with clients via video calls, email or chat once you're past the training phase

What we're looking for

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce.
  • Strong written and spoken English (you'll be communicating with US clients)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals, reconciliations)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail — small errors in bookkeeping create big problems
  • Commute to Bahria Town Phase 7 daily
  • Ability to work the shift hours below

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior internship or experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or any accounting software
  • Exposure to US accounting concepts (chart of accounts, sales tax, 1099s)
  • Experience with e-commerce, real estate, or property management bookkeeping
  • ACCA/ICAP active candidate

Not required:

  • Years of work experience (we hire fresh graduates and train them)
  • Specific client industry knowledge (we teach this)

Shift and location

Our shift hours are aligned with US client business hours.

  • Monday to Saturday 4pm to 12:30 AM (Night Shift)
  • Monday to Saturday 1pm to 9pm (Afternoon shift)

Office location: Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi. This role is fully on-site. Please consider commute distance before applying.

Compensation and progression

Starting compensation is Rs 40,000–60,000 depending on profile and prior exposure to US accounting or QuickBooks/Xero. Salary reviews happen at the end of the training phase, then annually with adjustments tied to scope expansion.

Our progression ladder is documented and transparent. The standard path is:

  • Trainee (0-3 months) → Junior Accountant (3-12 months) → Accountant (1-2 years) → Senior Accountant (2-3 years) → Team Lead (3+ years)

Hiring process

  1. Initial phone screen with our HR — 10 minutes
  2. Video interview on Google Meet — 20 minutes, covering your background and our firm
  3. In-person interview at our office — 60-90 minutes, with the senior team
  4. Initial trial at our office, working on a sample client engagement

We respond to every applicant within one week. We respect your time and ask the same in return — please apply only if you're seriously considering this role and able to commit to the full process.

To apply

  • A short note (2-3 sentences) on why you're interested in US accounting specifically
  • Confirmation that you've read the shift hours and location, and can commit to both
  • Whether you have any exposure to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or US accounting concepts (none is fine, but please be honest)

We typically receive many applications. Candidates who follow the application instructions above and write a thoughtful note get our attention faster than those who send only a CV.
