Junior Accountant

Job description

We are looking to hire an experienced Junior Accountant with 1-2 years of work experience preferably in the GCC region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.

· Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

· Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the Senior Accountant and the Finance Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

· Assisting in accounts receivable and accounts payable.

· Assist in preparation and coordination of the audit process.

· Assist in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

· Provides a variety of internal and external requests regarding cost analysis and financial statements.

· Ensures service and operating standards are met when processing all site financial transactions.

· Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Should hold University degree in Accounts / Finance / Commerce

· 1-3 years’ work experience as Accountant

· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Advance MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

· Working experience in any ERP system is preferable.

· Knowledge in UAE VAT.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to handle accounting works independently.
