Junior Accountant (Inventory & Cost Control)

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 2–3 years of accounting experience (preferred Food Industry)

· Knowledge of accounting principles and inventory accounting

· Strong Excel skills; ERP experience preferred

· High attention to detail and analytical skills

· Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with Operations and Procurement

· Strong documentation and compliance mindset

. Should be available in QATAR with Valid QID

1. Accounting Responsibilities

· Record and process daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts)

· Maintain accurate general ledger entries with appropriate supporting documentation

· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

· Prepare and post journal entries under supervision

· Support month-end and year-end closing activities

· Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer balances

· Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

· Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documents

· Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

2. Inventory Control & Financial Reconciliation (Finance Scope)

· Reconcile inventory records between ERP/system reports, GRNs, and purchase invoices

· Support monthly and quarterly inventory closing and valuation in coordination with Operations

· Monitor inventory variances and investigate discrepancies with Operations and Stock Keeper

· Review and validate stock adjustment requests and supporting documentation

· Track slow-moving, expired, damaged, or obsolete stock and report to management

· Support Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis and cost tracking

. Prepare inventory-related financial reports for management review
