Job Title: Junior Accountant (For a restaurant Company)

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing restaurant group based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and financial functions across our restaurant operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry's financial dynamics, including cost control, multi-branch reporting, and regulatory compliance within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations across all restaurant branches.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, providing insights on revenue trends, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operational expenses.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs by conducting regular variance analysis, reviewing supplier invoices, and coordinating with the procurement and operations teams to ensure cost efficiency.
- Oversee payroll processing for restaurant staff in compliance with Saudi labor law and GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) regulations.
- Ensure full compliance with Zakat, VAT (15%), and other regulatory requirements as mandated by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), including timely filing of returns and documentation.
- Perform daily sales reconciliation by verifying POS system reports against actual cash, credit card, and digital payment collections across all outlets.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, tracking actual performance against targets and flagging variances to senior management promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or SOCPA membership is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience within the food & beverage, restaurant, or hospitality industry, with a solid understanding of industry-specific financial practices such as recipe costing, inventory management, and multi-branch reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems), advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and reporting standards (IFRS as adopted in KSA).
