Junior Android Developer

We are looking for a Junior Android Developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Android applications designed for a wide range of Android devices. The primary focus of this role will be building Android applications and integrating them with back-end services. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in translating designs and wireframes into clean, efficient, and high-quality code
• Develop, test, and maintain Android applications under guidance from senior developers
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Identify bugs and assist in fixing performance bottlenecks
• Help maintain code quality, structure, and documentation
• Collaborate with backend and UI/UX teams for seamless integration

Required Skills

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Android SDK and different Android versions
• Understanding of Android UI design principles and best practices
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration
• Experience or understanding of local databases such as SQLite and RoomDB
• Basic knowledge of threading, offline storage, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Working knowledge of Java and Kotlin
• Understanding of Google’s Android design guidelines
• Willingness to learn CI/CD practices and modern Android tools

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
• Familiarity with Android open-source libraries
• Basic understanding of sensors such as accelerometers or gyroscopes
• Awareness of Facial Recognition or Optical Character Recognition (OCR) conceptsExperience Requirement

0.5 to 1.5 years of experience as an Android Developer (fresh graduates with strong projects are encouraged to apply)
