Engineered Exteriors provides consulting services in the fields of architectural engineering, roofing, exterior walls, and waterproofing systems since 2010. EE services include the development of Construction Drawings for new and existing commercial buildings. Our clients consist of school districts, universities, architects, city, state, commercial building owners and developers in the Central Texas area.

Role. Full Time Drafter with responsibilities consisting of:

  • Drafting. Assist with the development of building envelope related plans, elevations, and details. Drafter will be responsible for generating drawings with the assistance of others. Drafter must be proficient, detailed oriented and the ability to perform the following:
  • Utilize, create, and maintain company drafting tools and standards.
  • Ability to convert field drawn sketches to drawings.
  • Assist with design phase field surveys to document field conditions required for the development of Construction Drawings. Participating in field surveys, is not a requirement.
  • Attend design meetings with project team and/or clients, including assisting with documentation during the meeting.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, coordinate project deadlines, and communicate with project team.

Continuing Education. Attend educational seminars and other professional development courses paid for by Engineered Exteriors and as approved by your supervisor.

Experience. Applicants for this position should have the following qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience that is not required, however encouraged:
  • Experience working in architectural, engineering or construction related field
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam software
  • Two (2) year associate’s degree in an architectural, engineering, or construction related field.

Supplies and Training. Engineered Exteriors will provide all necessary equipment, and training as required for you to complete work assignments.

Paid Time Off. The following eight (8) hour days of paid time off, for a total of thirty (30) days in each calendar year, are included:

Holidays: Eight (8) days per year, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4 th,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas (2 days)

Vacation/Personal Time: Twenty-two (22) days per year, 8 hours per day.

Bonuses. Future annual bonuses will be based on employee and company performance.

Reimbursable Expenses. In addition to the benefits and base pay described above, we will reimburse the following work-related expenses:

Mileage ..... $0.70/mile (IRS published rate for 2025)
