U.S. Federal & New York Litigation Associate (Remote Hybrid – Pakistan)

About the Role

We are a U.S.-based law firm seeking a Pakistan-based attorney with hands-on experience supporting U.S. federal and New York state litigation, particularly in discovery, motion practice, and legal research.

This is a substantive legal role, not clerical or data-entry work. You will work directly with a New York-licensed attorney on active federal and state court cases and play a meaningful role in litigation strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and revise motions under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and New York CPLR
• Assist with discovery disputes, including:
• Drafting discovery responses and objections
• Preparing motions to compel and opposition papers
• Reviewing document productions and identifying deficiencies
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on federal and NY state law
• Review pleadings and assist with issue-spotting and case strategy
• Draft affidavits, declarations, and supporting exhibits
• Support ongoing litigation in U.S. federal courts and New York state courts

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience working on U.S. legal matters
• Prior exposure to:
• U.S. federal litigation
• New York state litigation (preferred)
• Discovery and motion practice
• Familiarity with:
• Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• U.S. legal research and citation formats
• Excellent written English and legal drafting skills
• Ability to work independently and meet U.S. deadlines

Strongly Preferred

• 2+ years of experience supporting U.S. law firms (directly or through litigation support)
• Experience with:
• Motions to dismiss
• Motions to compel
• Discovery objections and responses
• Prior work with consumer law, civil litigation, or complex litigation
• Former LLM (U.S.) candidates or attorneys with U.S. litigation training
