The Junior Automation Developer is a Full Time, Regular position working hybrid Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PST Monday-Friday. Applicants must be able to work hybrid Downtown Spokane.
Summary: The Junior Automation Developer is a hands-on development role focused on creating intelligent agents and automations, integrating systems, and solving data extraction challenges in a healthcare operations environment.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Designs and builds intelligent agents using AI/LLM APIs to automate tasks and improve operational workflows.
Develops integrations between internal systems, third-party platforms, and data sources using APIs and custom scripts.
Builds and maintains workflow automations that reduce manual effort across the business.
Solves data extraction challenges, including pulling structured data from EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
Maintains and improves existing automations and integrations as business needs evolve.
Troubleshoots integration and data pipeline issues as they arise.
Documents work clearly so solutions can be maintained and handed off.
Collaborates with operations and revenue cycle teams to understand problems and translates them into technical solutions.
Other projects and duties as assigned.

Attendance is required for this position.
Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: Four-year Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent experience which qualifies the employee to perform the essential functions of the position.
Experience: Minimum of one to three years of experience in software development, automation, or integration experience is required.
Any combination of the above education and experience
Healthcare or revenue cycle management is desired.
Proven record of improving business performance through data-driven strategies.
Detail oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize projects depending on the demand, work in a fast-paced environment
Solid coding fundamentals with writing scripts and building small applications from scratch.
Hands-on experience building automations, agents, or system integrations.
Experience working with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
Experience using or building with AI/LLM tools, and comfortable prototyping AI-powered workflows and agent-based tools.
Familiarity with workflow automation concepts, whether through platforms or custom scripting.
Ability to read, extract, and work with data from external systems - EMR experience is a bonus but not required.
Open-minded about adopting new tools, frameworks, and LLM-driven approaches.
Medical industry experience preferred
Strong problem-solving skills with minimal oversight needed

Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); Electronic Medical Records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.); Data Analysis Tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BY, etc.); Internet/Intranet, Workday.
Responsible to build reliable, maintainable internal tools. That said, familiarity with any of the following is relevant to the work:
Languages: Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar
AI/LLM APIs (any major platform)
Workflow automation: platforms or custom scripting
