Junior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend APIs and services
• Work with one or more backend languages (Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar)
• Implement simple features and fix bugs in existing backend systems
• Work with databases and basic data models
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications
• Learn and follow backend coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and project managers

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 0–1 year of experience in backend development (including internships or academic projects)
• Basic knowledge of at least one backend language (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Basic understanding of REST APIs
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Basic understanding of Git and version control
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced product environment

Nice to Have:

• Personal or academic backend projects
• Basic familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms
