Junior Backend Engineer

Location: Karachi

Role Overview:
This role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who want hands-on experience in backend development in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining backend APIs and services
• Work with backend languages such as Python or Node.js
• Fix bugs and support existing backend systems
• Work with databases and simple data models
• Connect backend services with frontend applications
• Follow coding standards and best practices
• Work closely with the development team

Requirements:

• 0–1 year of experience (internships or academic projects are acceptable)
• Basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Basic knowledge of Git
• Willingness to learn and work in a startup environment

Nice to Have:

• Personal or academic backend projects
• Basic exposure to Docker or cloud platforms
