Junior BI Developer

Your Role - Purpose Of The Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. The role is focused on supporting and maintaining existing BI solutions, preparation of training materials, managing day-to-day business enquiries, and acting as a first point of contact for BI-related requests. The successful candidate will also take responsibility for shared mailbox management, documentation, and the standardisation of existing reports to ensure consistency, accuracy, and ease of use across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving and communication skills who is eager to build their BI expertise in a supportive environment. This is a hands-on role based in India but requiring extensive involvement and collaboration with colleagues across VTBA and the broader Atlas Copco Group.

Principal Accountabilities

• Provide support and maintenance for existing BI solutions (reports, dashboards, and data models).
• Act as a primary point of contact for business users, handling BI-related enquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and manage the BI team’s shared mailbox, ensuring queries are logged, prioritised, and resolved effectively.
• Assist in documenting BI processes, reports, and solutions to support knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Work on standardising existing reports and dashboards to improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience.
• Preparation of training materials
• Collaborate with senior team members to escalate and resolve complex issues when required.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the BI function.

To Succeed, You Will Need

Working Experience: Experience in a similar position within a complex multi-national organisation with hands-on front line responsibilities welcome.

Essential

• Basic understanding of BI concepts and tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 tools.
  
  

Desirable

• Exposure to SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with shared mailbox or ticket management systems.
• Familiarity with data governance, documentation, or reporting standards.
• Previous experience in a support or customer-facing role.
