Junior Business Intelligence Developer

Job Overview

Responsible for the management of tools and systems in MS SQL. Ability to configure and prepare data warehouse data in reporting and analysis solutions. Thorough understanding of database fundamentals, including relational database design. They ensure the data systems are robust and scalable for business use.

Responsibilities

• Programming ETLs and stored procedures for the collection and presentation of operational, financial, and other data.
• Ability to work proficiently and independently on a variety of proprietary software platforms to combine, manage and maintain multiple data sets.
• Review progress of tools and follow up on new needs with operational leadership staff and WFM Directors.
• Provide support to the area to identify opportunities for improvement in the efficiency or presentation of information.
• Responsible for the integrity of data collected from various company sources to ensure accuracy and veracity.
• Maintain and update tickets (using the Reporting service system) for various data needs in TP areas and campaigns.
• Design, develop, implement and maintain database objects (such as tables, functions, stored procedures, jobs, etc.) according to reporting schedules.
• Monitor, control and improve the database.
• Review automations and processing cycles (using jobs) to improve performance and benchmarks
• May perform other duties as requested not specifically addressed in this document.

Requirements

Education:

• Required: Technician or technologist in data analysis, database programming, systems or related fields.
• Desirable: Professional in systems engineering, industrial or related careers in data analysis.
• Advance Knowledge in MS SQL Server (2016 or later versions), SQL Server Data Tools
• Query optimization techniques, and database indexing knowledge.
• Knowledge of data architecture, database management (SQL, NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Data engineering expertise, familiarity with data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Kafka).

Experience:

• Minimum 2 year of experience in related database analysis functions in operational analysis, using SQL, PowerBI and Excel, in Call Center environment mainly in WFM areas
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Advance knowledge in any programming language.
• Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, and OLAP concepts.

Technical Skills:

• Database management using SSMS (SQL Management Studio)
• Database development using SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools)
• MS SQL
• Desirable use of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Desirable use of SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
• Azure Synapse (SQL Pools, Spark, Pipelines, Data lake, AAD, Monitor, DevOps)

Skills evaluated in interview:

• Desirable knowledge in Python, C++, .NET, PHP programming languages.
• Desirable knowledge in RPA fundamentals.
