Junior Chemical Sourcing & Tendering Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Chemical Sourcing & Tendering Engineer to support sourcing, supplier coordination, and tendering activities within Kuwait’s oil & gas and petrochemical sector.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to leverage AI and digital tools to enhance sourcing and bid efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Bid Support

• Support preparation and submission of tenders for KOC, KNPC, KIPIC , and other clients
• Review RFQs, technical specifications, and commercial requirements
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure technical and commercial compliance

Chemical Sourcing

• Source chemicals for refining, drilling, and industrial applications
• Identify and evaluate suppliers using digital platforms and AI tools
• Compare quotations and support pricing analysis and negotiations

AI & Digital Enablement

• Utilize AI tools for supplier discovery, market intelligence, and documentation
• Improve efficiency in sourcing workflows and tender preparation

Market & Vendor Management

• Track market trends, pricing, and supplier performance
• Maintain and update a structured vendor and product database

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in chemical sourcing, procurement, or tendering
• Basic knowledge of KPC tendering processes is preferred
• Familiarity with AI tools and digital sourcing platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
