Stonefort is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented JuniorCompliance Officer to ensure that our operations adhere to all relevant regulations, particularly those mandated by the Capital Market Authority. This role focuses on ensuring that our CFD trading activities adhere to the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Mauritius regulations and ensuring that the firm remains compliant with the CMA regulations as the firm is a Category 5 licensed entity, with a heavy emphasis on client onboarding, marketing oversight, and global sanctions monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & KYC/KYB: Execute end-to-end verification for retail and professional clients using Sumsub.
- Enhanced Due Diligence: Identify and escalates high-risk cases, including PEPs and residents of high-risk jurisdictions.
- Employee Compliance (KYE): Facilitate screenings for new hires and conduct annual staff compliance reviews.
- Marketing Oversight: Review social media, website content, and ads to ensure they are "Fair, Clear, and Not Misleading" and contain mandatory risk warnings.
- Sanctions & FATCA: Perform daily screenings against global Sanctions Lists and assist in the annual FATCA/CRS classification and reporting.
- Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of periodic filings for the FSC Mauritius and CMA.
- Internal Controls: Monitor internal policies and systems to ensure staff adherence
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years in a compliance/onboarding role within CFD or Forex brokerage.
- Systems: Hands-on experience with Sumsub or equivalent automated KYC tools.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications: Progress toward CAMS, CMA certifications or ICA is a major plus.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high ethical standards under pressure.
- Staying up to date with latest sanctions/lists, updates from regulatory bodies.
