Today, we are recruiting for a Junior Contract Administrator to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Administer the contract in accordance with its terms and conditions, monitor compliance with contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure proper documentation and record keeping to preserve contractual entitlements
- Maintain registers and trackers for notices, variations, claims, instructions, warranties, and correspondence, while monitoring all incoming and outgoing communication with the Main Contractor and tracking response timelines to ensure compliance with notice provisions
- Ensure timely preparation and issuance of contractual notices (delay, variation, disruption, access constraints, change in law, etc.) and prevent waiver of contractual rights
- Monitor delays arising from late handover of rooms, buildings, or track access and incomplete civil or MEP works, assist in issuing formal notifications for access restrictions or interference, and compile substantiation records including site logs, possession records, and coordination minutes
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating variation instructions, maintain a variation register and approval status, support preparation of cost and time impact assessments, and ensure all instructed changes are formally recorded in accordance with contract provisions
- Assist in preparation and submission of Extension of Time (EOT), prolongation, disruption, and acceleration or re sequencing claims, coordinate with the planning team on critical path impacts, and compile supporting documents such as approval delays, interface failures, testing disruptions, and restricted access records
- Monitor certification status and payment timelines and assist in issuing formal notifications in case of delays in payment application certification or invoice settlement
- Monitor design milestones (Preliminary, 90%, and 100% Final Design), set up trackers for response timelines of design reviews and submissions, and record design changes and associated impacts arising from external interface issues
- Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, technical standards, and customs tariffs, assess contractual and commercial implications, and assist in preparing formal notifications for change in law or regulatory impact claims
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Good communication (written and oral) and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with contract administration under EPC environments
- Ability to work in a highly competitive market with challenging targets and timelines
