The Junior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity, availability, and security of database systems. The role ensures data consistency, supports concurrent user access, monitors database performance, and implements backup and recovery procedures to protect organizational data. The DBA works closely with technical teams to support system development, optimization, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

1–3 years of hands-on experience in database administration, maintenance, and support.

Proven experience in database administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with DBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar platforms.

Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Oracle DBA) are an advantage.

Strong knowledge of database architecture, systems, and software.

Proficiency in SQL and procedural SQL languages.

Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
