Junior Designer

Job description

Fairfax Kitchen and Bath is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for learning the ins and outs of the kitchen and bath design industry.

As part of our creative team, you’ll support the Lead Designer on a wide range of projects—from client presentations to order management and showroom operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every design detail and client experience is seamless, while also gaining hands-on experience and mentorship in a high-end design environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Lead Designer with design development, material selections, and design refinements.
• Help complete project details, orders, and design documentation.
• Keep the showroom organized, visually appealing, and client-ready at all times.
• Request and track pricing for materials and samples for client presentations.
• Create and manage purchase orders, maintain production schedules, and track lead times.
• Organize and maintain the sample library and project boards.
• Take notes during client and internal meetings; help coordinate project logistics.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with project installations and provide general design and administrative support.

• Proactive, organized, and dependable—able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Proficiency in 2020 Design, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow as part of a creative, supportive team.
