The Opportunity

Haven Design and Build is seeking a motivated Junior Designer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career architectural or design professional who is eager to gain hands-on experience in high-end residential design.

In this role, you will support our design team with drafting, design development, and project documentation using tools such as AutoCAD. You will work closely with experienced designers and project managers while gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of residential design-build projects—from concept development through construction.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically curious, and excited to grow within a collaborative design-build environment.

What You’ll Do

Drafting & Technical Drawings
Assist with the creation and revision of architectural drawings using AutoCAD and other design software.

Design Development
Support the design team with layout studies, design revisions, and documentation during the development of residential projects.

Construction Documentation
Assist in preparing construction drawings, permit sets, and detailed design documentation.

Project Coordination
Work closely with designers, project managers, and contractors to help ensure drawings and documentation stay organized and up to date.

Presentation Materials
Support the preparation of visual materials, diagrams, and design presentations for internal reviews and client meetings.

Project Organization
Maintain organized digital project files, drawings, and documentation to support efficient team collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in architecture, architectural drafting, interior design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–3 years of professional experience in architecture, design, drafting, or a related role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• A genuine interest in residential architecture and the design-build process
