The Mechanical Engineer supports the operation, maintenance, and improvement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the theme park facilities. The role assists in executing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted park operations while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising daily MEP maintenance activities across rides, attractions, show buildings, F&B outlets, retail shops, and back-of-house facilities.
- Support inspection, troubleshooting, and minor repair works of HVAC systems, pumps, plumbing systems, lighting, electrical panels, and related equipment.
- Monitor AHU, FCU, ventilation systems, chilled water systems, and electrical distribution performance.
- Review and update maintenance checklists and ensure PPM schedules are followed.
- Assist in reading drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to support maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with municipality, civil defense, and internal HSE standards.
- Provide on-ground engineering support during park operational hours.
- Assist in responding promptly to MEP-related complaints or emergency breakdowns.
- Monitor utility consumption (electricity, water) and report abnormalities.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
- Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance logs and documentation in CMMS.
- Participate in daily technical briefings and toolbox talks.
- Support coordination with contractors for specialized maintenance works
- Assist in verifying work completion and quality before sign-off.
- Ensure contractors comply with park safety regulations.
- Monitor spare parts usage and report stock requirements.
- Assist in tracking maintenance KPIs (downtime, response time, task completion rate).
- Prepare basic reports for Senior Engineer/Technical Manager review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the MEP department.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with MEP focus.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with PPM procedures and maintenance standards.
- Basic knowledge of heat load concepts and electrical fundamentals.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and HSE practices.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, theme parks, hospitality, malls, or large commercial buildings.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with CMMS systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, Project Planner
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
