Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Engineer – Payment Check to support the commercial and project controls team in verifying, reviewing, and processing contractor payment applications for Roads & Bridges projects. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation of all interim and final payment certificates in line with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify contractor payment applications, invoices, and supporting documents
• Assist in checking measurements, quantities, and site progress against submitted claims
• Coordinate with site engineers and quantity surveyors for validation of completed works
• Support preparation of interim payment certificates (IPC) and final accounts
• Ensure payments comply with contract terms, BOQ, and project specifications
• Maintain accurate records of payment histories, variations, and approved claims
• Highlight discrepancies, overclaims, or non-compliance issues for senior review
• Assist in tracking project budgets, cost reports, and expenditure summaries
• Coordinate with commercial, finance, and project teams for payment approvals
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness for all payment-related records

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• Minimum 1–4 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in Roads & Bridges projects is an advantage
• Basic understanding of BOQ, measurement methods, and construction contracts
• Familiarity with payment certification and project cost control processes
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office tools
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Strong coordination and communication skills
