Junior Engineer Purchase - Male only - 1.5 years to 3 years

Reporting location - Kanuvai, Coimbatore (75 % Travel inside Coimbatore)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Machining Components for Dust and Fume Extraction System:

• Source and evaluate suppliers for machining components required for dust and fume extraction systems.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Ensure the quality of machined components meets the required standards.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and requirements.

Moulding Components for Air Pollution Control Equipment:

• Identify suppliers capable of providing rubber and injection molding components for air pollution control equipment.
• Manage the procurement process from supplier selection to delivery.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor supplier performance to maintain consistent quality and timely delivery.

Raw Materials Procurement for Dust and Fume Extraction System:

• Source raw materials such as sheets, pipe, Sq tube, L angle, Non - Metallic items are required for dust and fume extraction systems.
• Analyze market trends to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.
• Develop relationships with raw material suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Maintain inventory levels to support production requirements.

Transport Planning and Material Planning:

• Coordinate transportation logistics using vehicles like Eicher and Dost for efficient material movement.
• Plan material requirements based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Optimize transport routes to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production deadlines.

Other Support:

• Manage procurement activities related to NPD projects, Tool & die.
• Procure electrical components required for various systems within the organization.
• Identify vendors specializing in laser cutting, bending, rolling, and machine shop services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of air pollution control equipment, dust and fume extraction systems, and associated technologies.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD or similar design software. ERP knowledge added advantage
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to vendor location as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹15,500.00 per month
