Junior Financial Analyst

FP&A Analyst | The Woodlands, TX

** MUST RESIDE IN HOUSTON **

We're placing a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst with a well-established company headquartered in The Woodlands. This role is a fit for someone who's already figured out how to use AI tools to work smarter — and wants to bring that into a high-visibility corporate finance function with direct exposure to senior leadership.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Building and maintaining financial models to track performance against plan
• Preparing variance analysis and management reporting packages for business unit and executive review
• Leveraging AI tools to automate recurring reporting, surface insights faster, and improve the quality of financial outputs
• Partnering cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and business leaders to gather inputs and explain results
• Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as priorities evolve

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to improve financial workflows, automate analysis, or enhance reporting — this is a real differentiator for this role
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets; exposure to planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion) is a plus
• Clear communicator who can translate numbers into a story for non-finance audiences
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable managing competing deadlines
