Job description

Junior speech instructor at a remote voice school specializing in gender-affirming speech and singing, as well as public speaking and voice acting. Learn our proven curriculum and grow with us!

Job details

  • Must be located in Washington, Oregon or New York State.
  • $30/hour with up to $5 increasing wage every 6 months. Capped at $50
  • $21.30/hour for training

Job type

  • Part-time (15-25 hours a week)

Schedule

  • We are specifically looking for Monday-Friday evening 4PM-8PM PST (7PM-11PM EST) and weekend availability. You may choose your working hours within these parameters.

We are looking for a new junior speech instructor to teach gender-affirming voice lessons for trans feminine people. Some training and observation will be included in your onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree, or in progress
  • Some teaching experience required
  • Expert understanding of the voice
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity and solidarity with the trans community
  • Academic study in speech, voice, or singing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform vocal assessments and determine student needs
  • Adjust the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Guide and develop students through a range of speech techniques and exercises
  • Create a safe, warm, and trusting classroom environment
  • Interact with company social media on occasion
  • Collaborate with other team members via Google chat and email
