Junior Interior Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Design Associate to join our collaborative architecture, interiors, and landscape team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with zero to three years of experience who is eager to grow their technical skills, design thinking, and project coordination abilities.

Working under the guidance of mid- and senior-level designers and project managers, the Design Associate will support a range of project tasks including research, documentation, material sourcing, and construction administration assistance. This role contributes to the development of thoughtful design solutions, helps maintain internal design libraries and organizational systems, and supports procurement, presentations, and marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with strong time management skills and a collaborative mindset. They are comfortable interacting with team members, consultants, and clients in a professional manner, and are committed to learning firm standards, tools, and processes.

Success in this role is measured by accuracy of work, reliability in meeting deadlines, contribution to team effectiveness, and positive client satisfaction outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Project support for Interior Designer, and Project Manager on Interior Design team
  • Research and compile finishes, materials, products, and specifications for internal review
  • Assist with finish boards, presentations, and design documentation
  • Perform routine drawing updates, coordination, and quality checks with accuracy
  • Participate in Construction Administration site visits with guidance
  • Help track and resolve CA issues in coordination with Project Managers, consultants, and contractors
  • Assist with procurement coordination to help keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain and organize SketchUp / AutoCAD libraries and materials resource systems
  • Support preparation of marketing materials and client meeting presentations
  • Provide regular updates to supervisors on task progress and project performance
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across disciplines

Experience & Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of professional experience in architecture, interiors, or landscape design
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Experience with SketchUp and/or AutoCAD required; willingness to learn additional tools and office standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Clear communication skills and professional demeanor with clients and consultants
  • Interest in learning construction administration processes, procurement coordination, and project scheduling
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow within a team environment
