Junior Interior Designer

We are looking for a junior Interior designer, full time to undertake a variety of designing projects with our principle interior designer/owner. In colaboration with our owner you will deal with design from concept development to product selection to presentation to customers and clients. The goal is to deliver beautiful spaces that serve customers needs and lifestyles. Our compensation program is flexible to meet not only our needs but also the needs of the qualified candidate.

Responsibilities

• Colaborate with ower/deisigner to undertake design project from concept to completion
• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
• Set costs and project fees according to budget
• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
• Produce “sample” and “mood products”
• Supervise work progress
• Work closely with window treatment designers, painters and wallpaper contractors, architects and constructors
• Skills
• Friendly, warm, inviting approach to customers and clients
• Working experience in designing interior spaces
• Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
• Portfolio of previous works showing design aesthetic
• Communication and presentation skills
• Ability to supervise installations in homes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
