Junior Interior Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic remodeling/custom wood working team. In this role, you will assist in the development and execution of innovative design solutions for various residential projects. You will work closely with the business owner, shop manager, clients, and contractors to ensure that each project meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with all members of the business to conceptualize and develop design plans that align with client needs and preferences.
• Utilize design software such as Revit, 3ds Max, and SketchUp to create detailed floor plans, renderings, and presentations.
• Assist in drafting layouts and specifications for interior spaces, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
• Participate in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information for renovation projects.
• Apply knowledge of color theory to select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that enhance the overall design concept.
• Prepare presentation materials for client meetings and assist in communicating design ideas effectively.

Experience

• A degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software including Revit, 3ds Max, SketchUp, and Bluebeam is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and project management principles within the interior design industry.
• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in interior spaces.
• Previous internship or work experience in interior design is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $31.23 per hour
