The Computation and Decision-Making Lab (PI: Dr. Mark Ho) and AI Thought Partner Lab (PI: Dr. Ilia Sucholutsky) at NYU invite applications for a Junior Laboratory Associate to work on interdisciplinary projects exploring decision-making in humans and AI systems and the circumstances under which people will trust AI systems to make decisions on their behalf.
The position will involve a collaborative project with researchers at Princeton University (Tom Griffiths, Peter Henderson, Tania Lombrozo, Natalia Vélez), New York University (Mark Ho, Ilia Sucholutsky), Boston University (Josh Peterson), and Cornell University (Nori Jacoby), and will provide opportunities to visit and collaborate with members of these different research groups. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae / resume, and names and contact information for three references. Positions are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656-$60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
