Position: Real Estate Lawyer (In‑House – Developer’s Office)

Role summary

We are looking for a lawyer to support a real estate development office with end‑to‑end legal work related to land acquisition, sale and purchase, leasing, and documentation. The role is full‑time and based at our developers office, working closely with management, sales, and technical teams on property transactions and compliance.thelegalschool+2

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet sale deeds, agreement for sale, development agreements, joint development agreements, MOUs, POAs, and other real estate contracts.jobsoid+1
• Draft and review leave and licence agreements, lease deeds, rental agreements, addenda, and renewals.thelegalschool+1
• Conduct title due diligence for land and flats/units, including searches at Sub‑Registrar, revenue, and other relevant authorities, and prepare clear title reports.talent+2
• Examine property documents (7/12 extracts, property cards, mutation entries, encumbrance certificates, NA orders, layout approvals, sanctioned plans, etc.) and identify defects, encumbrances, or risks.ipleaders+2
• Prepare and vet documentation for land purchases, sales, mortgages, and project launches, ensuring compliance with applicable real estate, stamp duty, and registration laws.ipleaders+2
• Coordinate with external advocates, title search agencies, and consultants wherever required, and consolidate their opinions for management decision‑making.streamline+1
• Liaise with government offices and registration authorities for registration of documents, stamping, and resolving issues relating to land records.thelegalschool+1
• Maintain organised document repositories, trackers for property‑wise documents, and status of title clearance, registrations, and agreements.indeed+1
• Keep the team updated about legal and regulatory developments relevant to real estate and land laws in Maharashtra.indeed+2

Candidate profile

• LL.B. (full‑time) from a recognized university; enrolment with State Bar Council.
• 1–4 years of experience in real estate / property law, preferably with a developer, law firm, or conveyancing practice.
• Excellent proficiency in Marathi and Marathi legal documentation
• Strong drafting skills for contracts and legal notices, with attention to detail in English and local language (Marathi knowledge preferred).
• Hands‑on experience in title searches and due diligence for land and built‑up properties.
• Good understanding of stamp duty, registration procedures, and basic RERA and local land‑revenue/zoning regulations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel.

• Working days and timings: Monday - Saturday 10 am - 7 pm
