Junior Lawyer

Job Title: Junior Lawyer – Real Estate
Location: Esplanade, Kolkata
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer with experience in real estate and property law. The candidate will assist in property due diligence, land registration processes, and drafting of real estate legal documents. The role requires strong knowledge of land laws and the ability to coordinate with government authorities and registry offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land search and title verification of property documents
• Assist in preparation and execution of sale deeds, agreements for sale, lease deeds, gift deeds, and other property-related documents
• Draft, review, and vet real estate legal documents
• Coordinate with Registry Office, BL&LRO, Municipal Offices, and other statutory authorities
• Verify encumbrance certificates, mutation records, tax receipts, and related property documents
• Support senior lawyers in property due diligence and compliance matters
• Maintain accurate legal documentation and case records

Required Qualifications

• LLB degree from a recognized university
• 1–3 years of experience in real estate/property law
• Strong understanding of land search, title verification, and land registration processes
• Knowledge of West Bengal land laws will be preferred
• Ability to independently manage registry office and related coordination work
• Good drafting, documentation, and communication skills

• Familiarity with property due diligence procedures
