About Khazna
Khazna launched in 2020 with a mission to improve the financial well-being of the underbanked across the Middle East by providing access to convenient, effective and secure smartphone-based financial services. In the next phase of its journey, Khazna is looking to continue scaling up its operations in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Legal Associate to join Khazna’s in-house legal team and support our growing operations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll get exposure to contracts, regulatory filings, and corporate matters in a fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll work directly with the Legal Manager on NDAs, service agreements, and contract templates, while coordinating with internal teams (finance, commercial, risk, product, operations, and HR).
If you’re eager to learn, have solid legal foundations, and want to understand how fintech really works behind the scenes, this is a great place to start and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Contracting & Commercial Support
Draft, review, and support negotiation of basic commercial contracts, including NDAs, service/vendor agreements, and partnership or marketing agreements.
Maintain and update Khazna’s bilingual (Arabic/English) contract templates.
Support product documentation for Earned Wage Access, Salary Advance, and BNPL offerings.
Coordinate internal contract flow and approvals with commercial and operations teams.
Regulatory & Corporate
Assist with regulatory filings with the FRA, CBE, SAMA, and QFCA.
Prepare supporting documents for licensing, renewals, and beneficial ownership filings.
Conduct legal research on fintech, consumer finance, and data regulations, and prepare internal summaries.
Corporate Housekeeping
Support corporate governance activities such as board resolutions, powers of attorney, and regulatory forms.
Organize and maintain contracts, company documents, and filing records.
Risk, Compliance & Data
Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure contracts include required KYC, AML, and data protection provisions.
Prepare company documents and coordinate internally to respond to third-party KYC/AML requests.
Ensure data-related contractual clauses comply with local legal requirements.
Law degree (Bachelor in law); admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association (or awaiting admission).
1-2 years of experience or strong internship exposure in a legal, corporate, or fintech-related role.
Strong legal drafting and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
Solid understanding of general corporate and contract principles.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
Curious, eager to learn, and proactive in problem-solving.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
