Summary
Lochwood Lozier is a third-generation, high-end custom home builder with a well-known reputation for service and quality. We are seeking a progressive creative, highly driven, and detail-oriented individual to join our Collaborative Interior Design Team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the execution of interior design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with client needs, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and help curate their vision for the project at hand.
Work in concert with our in-house architect to achieve a holistic design approach that suits the client’s overall and comprehensive aesthetic.
Develop and present design concepts, specifications, and material layouts to clients for approval.
Create detailed design drawings and renderings using relevant software: Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
Specify, source, and procure materials, fixtures and equipment based on design concepts and project budgets.
Coordinate and liaise with the project manager, contractors, installers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and installation of materials.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and cost estimates.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve any design or construction issues, and ensure Lochwood Lozier quality standards are met.
Manage and communicate Timely and effectively with the project teams, including architects, contractors, and craftsmen, to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain records, documentation and project files throughout the design and construction phases.
Requirements:
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; a Bachelor’s degree with Interior Design experience is required.
Proven experience in interior design and project management, preferably in residential and commercial spaces.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite.
Strong project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize upwards of 6 large scale projects at once.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
Familiarity with new design trends, materials, style, and willingness for continued development and education.
Ability to understand plans and perform material take-offs for estimating purposes in creating hard surfaces budgets.
