Junior Magento Developer

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Magento Developer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an aspiring developer with some foundational knowledge of Magento to gain hands-on experience and grow their skills under the guidance of our senior developers.

You will be involved in various aspects of the development lifecycle, including building new features, fixing bugs, and assisting with platform maintenance and upgrades. You will work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing to the success of our clients' e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and customization of Magento 2 themes and extensions.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for new features and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Help with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on live Magento sites.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Magento releases, best practices, and e-commerce trends.
• Work with our project managers to deliver tasks on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in web development.
• Magento:
• Basic understanding of Magento 2 architecture, including themes, modules, and the Luma/Blank theme structure.
• Familiarity with the Magento command-line interface (CLI).
• PHP: Strong foundational knowledge of PHP, including object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Web Technologies:
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Knockout.js, LESS/SASS) is a plus.
• Database: Knowledge of MySQL and experience with writing and optimizing queries.
• Tools & Version Control:
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Experience with a development environment (e.g., Docker, XAMPP, MAMP).
