Job Title: Junior Plant Maintenance Electrician

Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Plant Maintenance Electrician to support our maintenance team in keeping plant equipment and electrical systems operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has basic electrical knowledge, and is ready to grow in an industrial environment with hands-on training and guidance from senior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Support troubleshooting activities for motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and production machines under supervision.
- Help with installing and maintaining electrical panels, circuits, lighting systems, and power distribution components.
- Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams and simple electrical schematics.
- Perform basic testing on electrical equipment using multimeters and other tools.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS or logs.
- Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and plant policies.
- Work closely with senior electricians, mechanics, and production teams to reduce downtime.
- Participate in training, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
License/Certification:
- Electrical License or Apprentice/Journeyman Certificate (as required by state/province) preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
Experience:
- 0–1 year of experience in an industrial or maintenance environment (internships, apprenticeships, or vocational training acceptable).
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, motors, and industrial power systems.
- Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, or automation (training will be provided).
- Ability to use basic testing tools such as multimeters; willingness to learn advanced instruments.
- Interest in preventive maintenance and industrial equipment.
