Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings based on approved concepts
- Convert 3D models into manufacturing-ready CAD designs
- Assist in basic structural and mechanical simulations when required
- Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
- Prepare DXF, STEP, and other CNC-compatible files for cutting, bending, or machining
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors, CNC operators, and production teams
- Support prototype development, testing, and design revisions
Required Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of at least one major CAD platform such as:
SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD
- Basic exposure to engineering simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS)
- Understanding of:
- Sheet metal design
- Welded structures
- Mechanical drawing standards
- Familiarity with DXF and STEP file formats used in fabrication
Qualifications and Experience
- BE / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working closely with factory and production environments
- Organized approach to drawings, revisions, and documentation
