Metro1 Solutions is a wholesale Bath and Beauty company located in NYC. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing innovative packaging solutions that not only protect products but also enhance their market appeal. You will collaborate closely with product development teams, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure that packaging designs align with brand strategies and meet functional requirements. Your expertise in various design software and methodologies will be essential in driving projects from concept through to production.

Responsibilities

Develop and create packaging designs that are visually appealing and functional.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure alignment on project goals.

Conduct design research to stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences.

Utilize software tools mainly Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), for design execution.

Implement design thinking principles to solve complex packaging challenges.

Oversee the fabrication and manufacturing processes of packaging designs to ensure quality standards are met.

Provide mechanical knowledge to support the development of packaging that is both innovative and practical.

Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.

Skills

Proficiency in design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.

Strong background in graphic design with a focus on digital design and packaging solutions.

Experience in product development and understanding of the manufacturing process related to packaging.

Excellent mechanical design skills with a solid understanding of fabrication techniques.

Ability to conduct thorough design research and apply findings effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on design thinking methodologies.

Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
