Job Summary
The Junior Procurement Associate â SCM supports end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities, including material planning, vendor coordination, purchase order management, and logistics follow-ups. The role ensures timely availability of materials in alignment with production schedules, project timelines, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Source and procure raw materials, components, and services as per SCM requirements
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs)
- Coordinate with approved vendors for pricing, lead time, availability, and delivery schedules
- Maintain vendor master data and procurement documentation
Supply Chain & Inventory Support
- Coordinate with planning, production, and stores teams to ensure material availability
- Track inventory levels and support replenishment planning
- Monitor material movement from supplier to warehouse/site
- Assist in resolving shortages, delays, and quality issues
Logistics & Documentation
- Follow up on dispatches, delivery status, and logistics coordination
- Ensure timely GRN, invoice verification, and document submission
- Support inward and outward material documentation
Skills & Competencies
- Sound understanding of SCM and procurement processes
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of inventory management concepts
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / Zoho / Odoo or similar) preferred
- Good analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- Manufacturing / Electronics / Electrical / Automation / Infrastructure industries
