Junior Procurement Engineer

Ritz Serve is a Qatar-based industrial services company specializing in coating, blasting, painting, corrosion protection, cathodic protection (CP), fabrication, and mechanical & electrical support services for oil & gas, marine, and infrastructure sectors.

We are expanding our Supply Chain team and are looking for a motivated Junior Procurement Engineer to support our growing portfolio of projects.

Role Overview

The Junior Procurement Engineer will support procurement activities for industrial and oil & gas projects, ensuring timely sourcing of compliant materials, equipment, and services.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 1–2 years of procurement experience in Qatar, particularly within oil & gas or industrial services environments.

You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Project teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and are delivered on time to support execution.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Prepare and issue RFQs to approved vendors.
  • Collect and evaluate technical and commercial quotations.
  • Assist in preparing comparison sheets for internal review.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate material mobilization to yard or project sites.

Technical & Material Support

  • Review BOQs, specifications, and material data sheets.
  • Support procurement of:
  • Coating and painting materials
  • Blasting abrasives and equipment
  • Cathodic protection materials (anodes, rectifiers, cables)
  • Fabrication materials (plates, pipes, fittings)
  • Electrical consumables and equipment
  • Ensure materials comply with oil & gas standards and project requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain organized procurement records.
  • Track delivery schedules and update internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement documentation is complete and audit-ready.
  • Maintain and update vendor database.

Cost & Inventory Support

  • Assist in cost comparisons and supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent material shortages.
  • Support procurement planning aligned with project budgets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of procurement experience in Qatar (mandatory).
  • Experience within oil & gas, industrial services, construction, or fabrication environments.
  • Good understanding of industrial materials and supply chain processes.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read BOQs and technical specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of coating, CP, fabrication, or industrial materials.
  • Strong Excel and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of vendor comparison and RFQ processes.
