Junior Product Designer

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to join our team for our furniture brand, Daim Pakistan. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of design principles, materials, production processes, and the ability to translate concepts into functional and aesthetically appealing furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop creative and innovative furniture designs from concept to final production.
· Conduct research on trends, materials, ergonomics, and user behavior to support the design process.
· Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and high-quality renders for client presentations and internal approvals.
· Prepare technical drawings, production sheets, cutting lists, and specifications for manufacturing.
· Collaborate with the R&D, production, and procurement teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
· Modify and update designs based on client feedback and manufacturing requirements.
· Work with materials such as MDF, solid wood, plywood, hardware fittings, PVC, laminates, acrylic, glass, MS, SS, etc.
· Ensure all designs follow industry standards, quality guidelines, and ergonomics.
· Conduct site surveys and coordinate measurements when needed.
· Assist in creating mood boards, concept boards, and design presentations for clients.

Required Software Skills
· AutoCAD (2D drafting, detail drawings, elevations)
· 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona Renderer (3D modeling and rendering)
· Optional- SketchUp, Keyshot and Rhino
· Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (post-processing, presentations)
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
· 1–3 years of professional experience in furniture design (fresh graduates with strong portfolios may also apply).
· Strong understanding of joinery details, modular furniture systems, fittings, and hardware.
· Ability to work under deadlines with attention to detail.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
