Junior Purchase Engineer – Roads & Bridges

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Purchase Engineer to support procurement activities for Roads & Bridges infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting in sourcing, vendor coordination, purchase order processing, and ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services for Roads & Bridges projects
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and purchase orders
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure timely delivery
• Support vendor evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring
• Track orders, shipments, and delivery schedules to avoid project delays
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams to understand material requirements
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and procurement policies
• Maintain procurement records, documentation, and supplier databases
• Assist in cost comparison, budgeting, and procurement reporting
• Support contract administration and documentation where required
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements in procurement processes

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 1–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within construction/infrastructure projects
• Experience in Roads & Bridges projects is an advantage
• Basic understanding of construction materials and procurement processes
• Familiarity with vendor management and sourcing strategies
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
