Junior QA Automation Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team on a FinTech integration project.

Team Composition: Project Manager, Systems Analyst, MuleSoft Architect, 4 Java Developers, QA Lead.

Responsibilities:

Automation Testing of APIs and Integrations

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and REST Assured or similar tools.
• Validate REST APIs for functionality, data consistency, and performance.
• Participate in test case design and contribute to test strategy for backend systems.

Testing Process Support

• Collaborate with the QA team and developers to understand integration flows and edge cases.
• Help identify, document, and troubleshoot bugs and issues found during testing.
• Execute and monitor automated tests and report results clearly and in a timely.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in QA automation.
• Solid knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming basics.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
• Experience working with logs (e.g., Grafana, Kibana) to debug automated tests and analyse backend/API failures.
• Understanding of HTTP methods, request/response structures, and status codes.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
• Basic knowledge of version control (e.g., Git).
• Technical education or background in IT or engineering fields.
• Proactive and eager to learn, with good attention to detail.
• English proficiency at B1 level or above (spoken and written).
