Junior QA Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our development team. The candidate will

be responsible for end-to-end testing of websites, ensuring high-quality releases through

manual and automation testing. You will collaborate with developers, and senior QA

engineers to validate features, defects, and maintain proper QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Involved in full testing lifecycle — planning, execution, reporting.

• Create, update, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data.

• Perform functional, regression, UI, cross-browser, and usability testing.

• Document and report bugs using standard bug tracking tools.

• Work with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.

• Maintain proper test documentation and follow QA processes.

• Execute smoke/sanity tests post deployment.

• Contribute to automation suite creation/maintenance when required.

• Participate in sprint planning/reviews and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• 1–2 years of QA and software testing experience

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• Experience writing/maintaining test cases and test scenarios.

• Experience with bug tracking tools.

• Hands-on exposure to automation tools (Selenium preferred).

• Basic working knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology.

• Good understanding of end-to-end testing for websites, cross browsers, and mobile

devices.

• Knowledge of basic SQL and API testing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹360,000.00 per year
