Junior QA Engineer

About the Role

Allure Digital is looking for a motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our Software Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and application products, which are built across a diverse technology stack including ReactJS, Laravel, Python, and more. Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Execute manual test cases across web and software products built on multiple technologies and programming languages (ReactJS, Laravel, Python, and others) across multiple environments.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on new features and bug fixes.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using a bug-tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Linear, or similar).
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce reported issues and verify fixes before release.
• Validate UI/UX behavior and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure features meet specifications before sign-off.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand what needs to be tested and why.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
• Write clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behavior, and environment details.
• Communicate quality risks clearly and escalate blockers in a timely manner.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing documentation over time.

Tooling & Reporting

• Use project management and bug-tracking tools to maintain visibility on issue status and testing progress.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman to verify backend behavior alongside UI testing.
• Learn and adapt to the tools and workflows used by the Allure Digital engineering team.

Qualifications

Required

• 0–3 years of experience in software QA, testing, or a related field (internships and academic projects count).
• Familiarity with web technologies — a general understanding of how frontend and backend applications work is helpful (e.g., ReactJS, Laravel, Python, or similar).
• Basic knowledge of testing concepts: test cases, test plans, bug life cycle, and regression testing.
• Experience or comfort using bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or Linear.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically about how things can break.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging UI issues.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Basic understanding of version control using Git.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (not required — equivalent experience is welcome).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
