Job Description
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and approved budgets.
- Prepare inquiries, obtain supplier quotations, and support in the evaluation and comparison of offers based on price, quality, and delivery
- Coordinate with project, site, and engineering teams to confirm material specifications and ensure timely procurement.
- Assist in preparing purchase orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of approved materials.
- Maintain an updated procurement log, tracking status of inquiries, quotations, orders, and deliveries.
- Support in vendor prequalification, price negotiation, and preparation of procurement reports for management review.
- Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in verifying supplier invoices and delivery notes against POs and material inspection reports.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures, project specifications, and contractual terms.
- Help maintain and update supplier databases to support competitive sourcing and reliable vendor relationships.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost control measures within the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry (GCC experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of materials used in Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; knowledge of ERP systems or procurement software is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
