Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

  • Assist in quantity take-off from drawings and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Support in cost estimation and budgeting for building construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders.
  • Prepare interim payment applications, progress valuations, and final accounts.
  • Coordinate with site engineers to verify work progress and measurements.
  • Review subcontractor invoices, measurements, and payment certificates.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and contractual correspondence.
  • Assist in procurement processes by preparing quantity breakdowns and material comparisons.
  • Support in contract administration and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial summaries for management review.

Key Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in building construction projects.
  • Mandatory GCC experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and cost estimation.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, site measurements, and variation claims.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and QS-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or similar).
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
