Key Responsibilities
- Support quantity measurement and take-off activities for civil, architectural, structural, and MEP works based on drawings and specifications.
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and preliminary estimates under guidance from senior commercial staff.
- Participate in tender preparation activities including documentation, pricing support, and bid submissions.
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses for evaluation.
- Assist in monitoring project costs by tracking materials, labor usage, and site progress.
- Support the preparation of interim valuations, progress claims, and variation cost assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, cost data, contracts, and project correspondence.
- Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and planning teams to ensure cost data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Assist with final account preparation and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control, or construction projects (internship experience acceptable).
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD; exposure to cost estimating or take-off software is an advantage.
- Understanding of standard methods of measurement, BOQ preparation, and tendering processes.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced project environment and meet deadlines.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and academic performance may also be considered.
